"Socratic practice is the daily practice of learning how to learn, learning how to work in a group, and learning how to apply ideas to one´s life. Students become extrinsically motivated lifelong learners. The goal is not to cover curriculum. The goal is not to have an exciting conversation on any particular day. The goal is to develop new social and intellectual habits and a new orientation towards learning, self and others."

What is this about?
This website is like a journal of my experience in the Michael Polanyi College at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. This experience started on september 4, 2012. This program is based on the Classical Liberal Arts with a few extras: Praxeology, Theology and Philosophy and Entrepenership. To explain this better, let me quote part of what I wrote for our handbook:
" The Michael Polanyi College is a college created for the students by a group of responsible learners that share and create knowledge. It is a place for innovations, for breaking paradigms and barriers. Where dialogue is a great source of learning, where students learn to think for themselves and where people have a thirst for learning. Students challenge themselves to create a culture of learning to acquire knowledge and understanding and to learn from experiences and from any other source available for the discovery of the true self."
This is an ever evolving website, so sorry for any inconveniences.
Enjoy!
